Note 2: Events Occurring after Balance Date

2.1 Formation of industry services body

From 1 July 2003 the Australian Dairy Corporation’s functions in support of the Dairy Adjustment Authority will move to the industry services body under the Dairy Industry Service Reform Act 2003. On 1 July 2003 Dairy Australia Limited will be declared the industry services body by the Minister.

2.2 Unresolved appeals

The Dairy Adjustment Authority has unresolved cases before the Administrative Appeal Tribunal and Federal Court. These matters will continue to be resolved through the proper processes beyond the balance date.
