As part of promoting excellence in its work, the Authority requires its people to be guided by the Code of Conduct and Values that has been put in place. As with the Authority’s employees, Members are also bound by this Code of Conduct as well as having the additional duty of promoting the Dairy Adjustment Authority’s values.

The Dairy Adjustment Authority's Values are:

  • Professionalism
  • Integrity
  • Openness
  • Fairness
  • Respect

In summary, the Code of Conduct requires:

  • Impartiality
    • Behaving in a way that is in the public interest and does not prejudice the outcomes of the Dairy Adjustment Authority’s objectives.
    • Disclosing any conflict of interest.
  • Legality
    • Acting lawfully and with care and diligence.
  • Confidentiality
    • Not disclosing official information, inside information, or providing false or misleading information.
    • Protecting the privacy rights of individuals.
