Defective Administration Scheme

Back to Contents | Next Section | Previous Section

This scheme allows compensation to be paid where circumstances indicate there has been defective administration by the agency. Although there is no legal liability, a payment of $16,167.50 was made in respect of remuneration to a DAA Member to cover a claim for work performed that was not covered by the Remuneration Tribunal determination. This payment was made in accordance with Schedule 2, Clause 79 (e) (i)(ii) of the Dairy Produce Act 1986.

(This work was carried out under the direction of the previous Chair of the DAA, however as this was outside of the Remuneration Tribunal’s guidelines, the current Chair sought and received permission for payment to the Member from Minister Truss.)
