The Dairy Adjustment Authority maintained six on-going consultancy contracts with expenditure in the financial year totalling $796,149. One new consultancy contract was let (Consultancy for Internal Audit services was renegotiated with Ernst and Young following their acquisition of Arthur Andersen). Consultancy contracts covered those activities that required the application of expert professional services (such as legal advice and internal audit). Details of current consultancy contracts are available on the Authority’s website www.daa.gov.au.

The Dairy Adjustment Authority is confident that the Australian Government has received value for money in the execution of these consultancy contracts and contracted services arrangements.
