Occupational Health and Safety

The Occupational Health and Safety requirements and procedures are in accordance with those of the Australian Dairy Corporation who employs all Authority staff. The Dairy Adjustment Authority (DAA) is represented on the Australian Dairy Corporation’s Occupational Health and Safety Committee.

Occupational Health and Safety information is available to all staff from the Occupational Health and Safety officer and the 3 fire wardens, and through on-going services including ergonomic assessments of work areas and an Employee Assistance Program.

Additional initiatives in 2002–03 included:

  • Regular fire alarm checks.
  • Mock evacuation was carried out.
  • Flu injections were made available for permanent staff.
  • DAA’s offices are supported by three fire wardens employed by lessor of building space.
  • First Aid training was undertaken.

One incident was reported to the OH&S officer during the year 2002/03.
